Software Engineering: A disciplined approach to the design, production, and maintenance of computer programs that are developed on time and within cost estimates, using tools that help to manage the size and complexity of the resulting software products.

Text: Software Engineering by Ian Sommerville, Addison Wesley, 8th ed., 2006.

Homework: I will give assignments from the text. There will be a short quiz each Monday on the readings and homework.

Project: Much of the work in this course will be related to developing a software project, from clarifying its requirements through customer acceptance. I will give specific assignments and due dates as we go along.

Grading: the following each count 25%.
